WHAT IS APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is based on the science of learning and behavior. ABA is an evidence-based treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

ABA therapy is the process of applying interventions based on the principals of learning to create meaningful and positive behavior change. Our goal for ABA is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease challenging behaviors that are harmful or affecting learning.

At Carlyle Center we do this through a play-based approach to therapy. Our center is crafted in a way where there are environments for children to succeed – whether that be in our library, classroom, our gym area, we believe children learn best through play.

Our therapy can help:

  1. Increase functional communication skills

  2. Improve attention, social skills, and daily living skills

  3. Decrease challenging behavior

At Carlyle Center, we believe in approaching therapy across a variety of settings. By doing so, we encounter life where it’s actually being lived, not solely in a contrived, center-based environment. This allows children to build tools & skills that span across each setting they frequent. carlyle center works with families across the home, community, pre-k School environments, and at our center. each child is different, and our recommendations reflect that individualization.
